This server receives vehicle data directly from the LeafSpy app, which you configured yourself to send it here, in order to provide you with its own dashboard, trip history, and efficiency features. For the data it receives and stores, this instance is an independent data controller under GDPR — not a processor acting on behalf of the LeafSpy app's developer.

- NHTSA vPIC (US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) — your vehicle's VIN is sent to this free, public API to look up its year/make/model/plant of manufacture, on registration and whenever you use "look up"/"refresh" vehicle details. No other account or reading data is sent.
E-mail delivery and the MQTT bridge are not currently enabled on this instance, so no data is sent to either.
Readings older than 12 months are deleted automatically. Your account, vehicles, and any reading younger than that are kept until you delete them yourself.
This instance does not currently take automatic backups outside its primary database, so once something is deleted here, it is gone — it does not linger in a backup copy.
- Access & portability — download everything stored under your account as JSON from Account settings once logged in.
- Erasure — delete a single trip, a whole vehicle, or your entire account from Account settings. Deletion is permanent in this database immediately, not a soft-delete or anonymization.
Deleting a vehicle or your account here does not, by itself, stop the LeafSpy app on your phone from continuing to try to send data — this server will simply reject those pings afterwards. To fully stop LeafSpy from logging your vehicle, also turn off or remove the server connection in the LeafSpy app itself.
Each vehicle has an optional, revocable share link that shows its current status to anyone holding the link, without login. You control whether it exists and can invalidate it at any time from the dashboard — see Help.
